This session is limited to federally qualified health center (FQHC) and FQHC look-alike attendees and others supporting FQHCs. If you are employed by a different entity type, such as a disproportionate share hospital or critical access hospital, please attend our upcoming 340B University in Chicago on Sunday, October 16, for all 340B Program covered entities and stakeholders.
You are invited to attend 340B University
Apexus offers 340B University, a foundational education program designed to meet the practical needs of 340B Prime Vendor Program (PVP) participants and other program stakeholders. Topics cover the 340B fundamentals; therefore, this education is intended for those new to 340B, and is not intended as an annual update.
340B University will be presented for all 340B stakeholders and will feature a broad range of educational sessions, covering the following topics:
- 340B Basics—Introduction to the 340B Drug Pricing Program
- Program integrity and audits
- Implementation/policy—Maintain compliant 340B purchasing practices at entity and retail/contract pharmacy
- Pricing—Calculation and integrity concerns
- 340B and Medicaid—Overview of billing and duplicate discount policies
Take advantage of the opportunity for hands-on practical advice to help with 340B Program implementation and enhance program integrity by learning from industry experts and networking with peers.
Upon completion of the 340B University event, participants will be able to:
- Describe the intent, eligibility requirements, and compliance cornerstones of the 340B Program.

Discuss oversight best practices at covered entities, including self-audits and development of 340B policies and procedures.

Define perspectives and responsibilities of pharmaceutical manufacturers and wholesale distributors in providing 340B pricing to covered entities.

Explain different areas in which 340B drugs may be used, including outpatient areas, mixed-use areas, entity-owned pharmacies, and contract pharmacy arrangements.
340B University meets these objectives in a one-day, intensive learning experience that mixes traditional lecture and interactive/practical application learning formats. Continuing education credit is available for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
Target Audience
This program is targeted to pharmacists practicing in FQHCs and FQHC-LAs and their contracted pharmacies, as well as all other 340B stakeholders supporting FQHCs, including vendors, manufacturers, consultants, clinic leadership, and pharmacy technicians.
Enrollment Information
Apexus offers 340B University at no charge to meet the needs of 340B Prime Vendor Program (PVP) participants and other program stakeholders. You must enroll to attend a 340B University event. Early enrollment is encouraged. When this event reaches capacity, a wait list will go into effect.
